Latin Quarter

You don’t have to go far to see the Latin Quarter, because our Montreal hostel is located in the Latin Quarter!  The Latin Quarter or Quartier Latin, is where the coolest clubs, bars, restaurants, and shopping are located.  There is a large student population here, and it’s a lot of fun!

Montreal Botanical Gardens

Museum of Archeology and History

Containing artifacts from the First Nations, the museum also features three archaeological sites, the birthplace of Montreal, the city’s first Catholic cemetery, and many other attractions including over 1 million artifacts.

The Montreal Museum of Fine Art is one of the best in Canada.  There is a pavilion with a focus on Quebec history.  If you like museums, don’t miss it!

Montreal’s Chinatown

Mount Royal Park

Mount Royal is Montreal’s largest park, designed by the same person who created New York City’s Central Park.  Mount Royal Park offers great views of the city (like the photo above), as well as activities, including hiking, biking, beautiful fall foliage, and even cross-country skiing in the winter.

Canadian Center for Architecture
