New York City gets even better this fall with the 2010 NY Craft Beer Week. From September 24th to October 3rd the City shows its love for good beer with events and special brews.

Anyone who wants to take advantage of the specials and events should purchase an NY Craft Beer Week Passport (a booklet with tabs for participating vendors).

Passports are $18 and you get a 6 month subscription to All About Beer Magazine with it. Craft Beer Passports can be purchased online or at any of the venues participating in the event and at select retail outlets.

Here’s how the Passport works: Each participating establishment has a tab good for a special craft beer for only $3. Go to any of the participating bars and give your bartender/server the tab for that establishment which will allow you to then purchase a beer from their featured brewery list for only $3. You will also find special deals for retail stores in the Passport.

If you plan on coming back to New York City before Labor Day 2011 and don’t end up redeeming all your Passport bar tabs, be sure to keep your Passport. Even though Craft Beer Week ends October 3, most venues offer specials you can only get by using your Passport up until the beginning of September 2011.

There are already more than 100 venues participating in Craft Beer Week with more to be added soon.

You can also find a list of events going on around the City during Craft Beer Week.
