From Miami International Airport

With a fare of only $2.35 one way and travel time of under 45 minutes to get from Miami International Airport to Miami Beach, the Airport Flyer is the cheapest way to get there.

The Airport Flyer is an express bus route (route 150) and only makes one stop outside of Miami Beach (Earlington Heights Metrorail station).

Once in Miami Beach, the Airport Flyer stops at 41st Street and Alton Road, 41st Street and Indian Creek, and Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue.

The Airport Flyer runs from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm 7 days a week. For more information, check out the Airport Flyer schedule.

From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Traveling from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to South Beach is also very easy. There are two great options:

You can take the Tri-Rail to Miami International Airport then hop on the Airport Flyer.

The Tri-Rail commuter train takes about 50 minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Miami International Airport and costs $3.75 on weekday and $5.00 on weekends and holidays.

For more information, check out the Tri-Rail schedule.

This next option is more than $10, but if you don’t want any transfers, a shared ride shuttle is a reasonable choice. At $21 per person to South Beach, it’s more expensive than taking the Tri-Rail and the Airport Flyer, but once you’re on the shuttle, you don’t have to get off until you reach your destination.
