Cheap Flights to Miami

There are several places to find cheap airfares to Miami.

JetBlue Airlines flies out of major airports like New York’s JFK and LaGuardia airports and into Fort Lauderdale.  From Fort Lauderdale you can catch an airport shuttle right to South Beach Miami for $21 (as of November 2008).

Southwest Airlines are another cheap way to get to Fort Lauderdale from many cities in the USA.  You can then take the $21 airport shuttle into South Beach, Miami.

Cheap Eating in Miami

South Beach has food for all budgets.  Grab a slice of pizza or some sushi on Washington Ave, or try some of the restaurants along Lincoln Road.  Head to downtown Miami near Flagler Street on the bus where you can find a lot of good & cheap local restaurants.  If you want to stuff yourself for about $5 or $6 try the Brazilian Picanha na Brasa (walking directions from Government Center Station).

Cheap Things to Do in Miami

There are many cheap and free things to do in Miami, including visiting attractions like the Venetian Pool, the Miami Art Museum, and going to the beach.  The beach is just 1 block away from the hostel, and the weather forecast this week is 80 degrees every day (27 C).  Check current South Beach weather here.
