New York City’s Largest Block Party: Museum Mile Festival

Come celebrate New York City’s largest block party this summer at the 24th Annual Museum Mile Festival!

The Museum Mile Festival is located on a mile long stretch of 5th Avenue. There are ten museums along the mile route that will be free to visit and lots of street art, live music and entertainment in between the museums.

The Museum Mile Festival starts at the National Academy Museum (1083 5th Avenue New York, NY 10128) at 5:45 pm and goes up 5th Avenue from 82nd Street to 105th Street.

There will be free access to all the museums along the mile. These museums include: National Academy Museum, Museum for African Art, Smithsonian Institution, National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Neue Galerie New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

There will also be art exhibits and live entertainment along the mile on the street, including interactive chalk drawing, creating patterned art, street performers and live bands playing a diverse variety of music.

This year’s Museum Mile Festival will be held on June 12, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
