New York City’s Biggest Free Performing Arts Festival

New York City is getting ready for its biggest free arts festival of the year – Summerstage!

It’s that time of year again – time to kick off New York City’s biggest event of the summer. Summerstage is an amazing series of free events throughout New York City.

There will be more than 110 free events including live music, art, sports, educational projects and more. There are also some paid shows, bring the number of Summerstage events to over 200.

One of the best things about Summerstage, besides being free, is that there all a lot of different kinds of musical performances, dance companies, and comedy and improve shows. There is something for everyone at this festival.

Summerstage attracts a lot of well known performers and artist like: Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes, Buckwheat Zydaco, Limón Dance Company, The Upright Citizens Brigade, The Metropolitan Opera, Eric Benét, Jamaica’s 50th Anniversary of Independence Celebration, The Blue Note Jazz Festival, and Latin Alternative Music Conference.

Events will be held more than 45 parks throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. Parks include Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Columbus Park.

Summerstage beings on June 5 and ends on August 30.
