Get ready for New York City’s summer festival fun!
New York City has so many amazing summer festivals and outdoor events in the summertime, and one of the first of them is the River to River Festival.
The River to River Festival is a month-long celebration with free art, theater, dance, music, poetry.spoken word, visual art and much more. It all takes place in Lower Manhattan between the Hudson River and the East River.
Performances will take place on outdoor stages and installations, on the streets and in parks, in theaters, warehouses and historical landmarks.
Part of the River to Rivers mission is to create a space for people to talk about “foster conversations about sustainable art, communities, and environments, showcasing New York City, and in particular Lower Manhattan, as creative, green, and global, with shows and events that speak to the diverse cultures and tastes of audiences from across the region.”
So, grab your love of New York City, art and free events and enjoy the River to River Festival!
The River to River Festival runs from June 15 – July 14, 2013.
