It’s time for some winter fun in Montreal! Get out your hats and gloves and enjoy some of the best sledding Montreal has to offer. The thrill of sliding down a hill on sled or inner tube never gets old! Montreal tends to get a lot of snow and is usually turning into a winter wonderland this time of year.

Here are some great places to go sledding in and around Montreal. If you don’t have a sled, most places rent inner tubes, crazy carpets and/or toboggans for a minimal charge.

Located in southern Germany, not far from the Austrian border, Garmisch-Parkenkirchen is an idyllic, traditional Bavarian town that also happens to be the home of one of our newest hostels – Jazz Garmisch.
Official name of the town is Garmisch-Parkenkirchen, but it is commonly referred to as just Garmisch. It is conveniently located about an hour and an half train ride from Munich. Garmish is beautiful all year round and there are countless activities to enjoy in every season.

Miami is known around the world for its beautiful beaches, sunny days and tropical breezes. But in the winter, Miami cools off just like the rest of the Northern Hemisphere. However, for the most part, this balmy city enjoys very temperate winter weather.

The average temperatures for Miami in the winter months are highs mid-70s (mid-20s C) of and lows mid-60s (upper teens C). The temperature can occasionally dip into the 40s F (single digits C) and 50s F (10s C) and may vary 20 degrees or so in one day which can make packing challenging.
