The simplest way to make a reservation is through any of the ‘Book Now’ buttons throughout our website or through our Reservations page. Once a booking is made, you will receive an email confirmation.
To cancel your reservation, you must contact the Front Desk at least 48 hours prior to arrival. In the event of a "No Show" (if you don't cancel in advance), your credit card will be charged the first night's total charge (including taxes).
*Note that you must notify our front desk via phone for late arrival otherwise your reservation will be cancel after 10 pm and you will loose your deposit. Group cancellations are handled separately through our Group Sales Manager. Please visit our Groups Sales page for more information.
No membership is required to stay at our hostels.
We offer competitive rates year round, which vary depending on location, room type, and season. Rates also vary depending on time of booking and method of booking. As a general rule, the most competive rates (and no booking fees!) can be found here on our website. Please note that Jazz reserves the right to change pricing without notice and also reserves the right to correct any errors in published rates prior to occupancy.
In New York, all hostels offer the following discounts: $2.00 off with ISIC card; 5% off with VIP Backpackers card. At Jazz on the Park Hostel, we also give 10% off with Integrated Nutrition cards. At Jazz on South Beach Hostel we offer $1.00 off for ISIC and VIP Backpackers cards. IATA card holders can receive a 15% off for entire stay. Please note that this is applicable to the holder of the card ONLY and is not transferable. Card holders can receive the discount only be presenting their card and a photo ID upon check in.
The price always includes free linens, towels and housekeeping.
Tax is NOT included in the listed price. New York tax is 14.75%. Miami tax is 13%. This amount will be added to your total balance at time of check in.
Jazz Hostels charges $3.50 occupancy tax per night.
Payments can be made by cash, credit card, debit card, money order or travelers checks.
Sorry, all reservations must be paid in full upon arrival. If your plans do change simply give the front desk a 24 hour notice and you can be reimbursed for the remainder of the reservation.
Yes, but not in cash. All refunds are reimbursed on credit/debit card - even if you paid for your booking with cash. If you do not have a credit or debit card, we will mail you a refund check, which takes approximately 2-3 weeks.
An ensuite room is a bedroom with attached bathroom.
Young children are welcome as long as they are supervised by a parent or guardian. If you are traveling with children under 10 years of age, you are required to book a private room.
At all Jazz Hostels locations, check in time is 3:00pm. Check out time is 11:00am. There is a $15 Late Checkout Charge for checkout after 11:00am.
At our New York locations, youth under 18 can make a reservation if they submit a faxed parental consent form. Jazz on South Beach Hostel cannot accommodate youth under 18.
All individuals spending time at Jazz Hostels must be paying guests. If you are expecting any visitors, please make plans to meet at the lobby and spend time together outside the building.
All Jazz Hostels locations are intended for transient tourists. Therefore, we cannot accommodate local or nearby residents at our hostels. In New York, residents of New York State cannot stay with us. In Miami, we cannot accommodate Miami Dade or other nearby county residents.
All indoor areas at all Jazz Hostels are smoke-free. Please feel free to use our outdoor terraces and roof desks to smoke.
Jazz Hostels does not allow pets at any location.
Jazz Hostels will make every effort to accommodate animals who assist people with special needs. While not required, we encourage guests with service animals to select private rooms for their stay (if financial feasible) so as not to potentially disrupt the stay of other guests who may be allergic or frightened by animals in their rooms. Yes Jazz on South Beach offers tours and can be booked at the front desk 24 hours a day.
No, but you can make advanced arrangements for an airport pick up or drop off through our exclusive shuttle bus service, Airlink.
Jazz Hostels does not accept or collect mail for guests. In cases of emergency, please contact the front desk via email to notify them of the expected delivery.
