Front Desk Agent

Front Desk Agents at Jazz Hostels are essential to providing guests with comfortable and memorable experiences. They are the first impression of Jazz Hostels, and are the individuals who interact most with our guests. As such, Jazz Hostels is seeking motivated, multi-lingual, and professional individuals to comprise each hostel’s front desk team.
A Front Desk Agent’s primary responsibilities are to:
- Greet and treat hostels guests with a positive attitude and eagerness to make them feel welcome and comfortable
- Know thoroughly Jazz’ software reservation system to check in/out guests, take payments, issue room keys, etc.
- Regularly respond to a high volume of customer inquiries via phone
- Make and confirm reservations in person and over the phone
- Accurately compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests
- Answer questions pertaining to hostel services and procedures
- Know and provide to guests tourism information including shopping, dining, entertainment, and transportation information.
- Communicate guest complaints or issues to hostel manager, housekeeping & maintenance staff
- Maintain a high level of cooperation and teamwork at the Front Desk, placing emphasis on customer satisfaction, organization, and enhancement of the “Jazz” vibe at the property
QUALIFICATIONS:
Front Desk Agents should possess exceptional oral communication skills, should be enthusiastic about international travel, and have an interest in working in hospitality or customer service. A long-term commitment is required and as such, the position offers tremendous opportunity for growth within the company.
Fluency in English, computer proficiency, and attention to detail are a must. Knowledge of other languages, reservation software, and sales a plus.

COMPENSATION:
- Hourly pay depending on previous experience and multi-language fluency.
