Eat Some Chocolate
You really don’t need an excuse to eat chocolate, but if you did, here’s a great one for you. Go to New York City’s annual Chocolate Show. It’s the largest chocolate show in the United States. Not only can you eat lots of really good chocolate, you can view all the chocolate art – clothing made from chocolate, chocolate sculptures, cooking demonstrations and more.
Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an American tradition. The first parade was in 1924 and more than 50 million people watch the parade today either in person or on TV. Giant floats, balloons, marching bands, dance troupes, celebrities and more make up this annual event.
Go Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center
The world famous ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center opens October 13 this year. It may seem early to ice skate but going early in the season means you miss the holiday crowds.
