Party in New York City during and after Oktoberfest
Book a room at Jazz on the Park or Jazz on Columbus Circle and your close to the Oktoberfest action. Oktoberfest is an international celebration of, well, Beer. And lot’s of it. In fact it’s the world’s grandest beer festival and celebration of German heritage. People celebrate Oktoberfest all over the world. Here in the United States, German-Americans are the largest self-reported ancestral group with a lot living right here in New York City. So this time of year, New Yorker’s (German and not so German) break out their Lederhosen and Dirnd and get down.

The first Oktoberfest took place 205 years ago so this is a great year to celebrate. There are many places to party Oktoberfest-style in New York City with Bavarian ‘style’ beer in giant glasses, busty women in blouses and deliciously salty pretzels. And there’s still time for the fun as Oktoberfest runs traditionally through the first weekend in October. But Oktoberfest is more than slamming down steins of beer, it’s about live music, costumes, making new friends, tasting fantastic food, celebrating life and enjoying Bavarian culture – mostly with beer.
Jazz Hostels are centrally located with easy access to transportation all over New York City. There are numerous places to celebrate. For a good overall idea of Oktoberfest in New York, visit TimeOut NY and Oktober-Fest NYC.
