Mojito
If you’ve never tasted a mojito, you’re missing out on one of Cuba’s best imports. It’s a refreshing drink made with white rum, sugar, lime, sparking water and mint – perfect for Miami’s subtropical weather!
Miami Vice
The Miami Vice is an ice cold, frozen daiquiri/pina colada drink made with rum and garnished with fresh fruit and shredded coconut. A perfect mix of tropical flavors!
Canchanchara
Like the mojito, the canchanchara his is another classic Cuban drink that’s popular in Miami. It’s basically limeade with alcohol – white rum, lime juice, honey and crushed ice. In Cuba, an unfinished rum called Aguardiente is typically used.
Rum Runner
The rum runner is a sweet rum cocktail is made in just about every bar in Miami. It’s made with light and dark rum, banana and blackberry liquors, grenadine and lime juice.
Caipirinha
The caipirinha is a delicious drink from Brazil made with liquor made from sugarcane called cachaça. It’s easy to make with just a few ingredients – lime juice, sugar, cachaça and ice. Careful, this drink is stronger than it tastes!
Cuba Libre
When you’re in Miami, instead of ordering a rum and coke, ask for a cuba libre. It’s the same thing as a rum and coke but has the addition of a slice of lime. Its name means ‘Free Cuba’ and was created in Cuba around 1900 in honor of the fight for Cuba’s independence.

He took his second hit and swears that one worked.” I’m shit at math but still pointed out the probability of only one in six tabs working was slim to none. “I know,” she said, “but just humour him.” I nodded and ordered another Miami Vice, my new favourite drink-when-you-don’t-want-to-feel-like-you’re-getting-drunk drink. source […]
