Being in Miami Beach is like stepping into another era. Everywhere you look there are beautiful buildings painted in pastel pink, green, blue and yellow decorated with geometrical shapes funky designs.
Most of Miami Beach’s hundreds of buildings were built between 1923 and 1943 and it is this architecture that gives it its distinct look and feel.

Its possible that the largest collection of art deco architecture is actually in Napier NZ. After the big quake in 1930 they rebuilt the city in the most modern of designs which happened to be deco. If you dont believe me check wikipedia and they will tell u the same.
However the Florida style of South Beach looks fantastic & is definitely on my bucket list. The designs are so grand which could only be done in the US.
