With events like Fright Fest, Zombie Walk and Fantômes de Montréal, October is Montreal’s spookiest month of the year!
Fantômes de Montréal
Ghost walks are eerie any time of the year, but there is something extra spooky about them around Halloween.
Fantômes de Montréal takes you through the haunted streets of Old Montreal regaling tales of murder, mystery and dark secrets. You may never see Old Montreal through the same eyes once you’ve been exposed to its underworld!
Fright Fest
Fright Fest at La Ronde Six Flags Amusement Park promises to be the scariest yet with their biggest haunted house ever and a revamped Corridor of Fright. Fright Fest takes over the park with zombies, vampires, monsters, giant spiders and rodents lurking around corners.
Visitors can enjoy La Ronde’s 40 rides and attractions as well as ongoing entertainment during Fright Fest. The park is open on the weekends from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. On October 30th and 31th, La Ronde will stay open until 11:00 pm.
Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Ball 2010
Montreal’s Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Ball is a spectacular event. Not only is the wild and wacky movie shown, but there is a shadow cast, a costume contest and, of course, audience participation.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Ball will be hosted by Plastik Patrik. It runs October 28th through October 31st.
Zombie Walk
If you’ve ever wanted to dress up as a zombie, hook up with other zombies and walk, lurch, stumble and stalk through the streets of a city, head up to Montreal for their annual Zombie Walk.
There will be people in all stages of zombiness and costume in the walk. You can go all out in full zombie regalia or just throw on make-shift zombie wear.
From the Facebook page, it looks like Montreal’s Zombie Walk will take place on October 30 or 31, with the date and route to be announced. The event is free to participate in.
Fall Foliage
There isn’t anything spooky about Montreal’s fall foliage, but if you would like to experience the vibrant beauty of it, October is a great time to visit. The colors usually peak in early October and stay vibrant through the end of the month.
