Montreal’s metro has four lines that stop at all major areas in the city. Different kinds of tickets are available – one trip, two trips, day passes, 3 day passes, unlimited weekend use, etc.

Bus
Montreal also has an extensive bus system operated by the same organization that runs the metro system.

Montreal has an amazing self-serve, public bicycle system. It is run by Bixi. There are bicycle stations all around the city, you can pay at the station, pick out a bicycle, ride around, park it at another location, pick up another bicycle when you’re ready to move on.
Montreal’s streets are mostly bicycle friendly. Just be sure to wear a helmet and learn the rules of the road before riding a bike on the street.
