A recent New York Times article features a member of the Jazz Hostels work exchange program.
Elmo Ranelli came to New York City with $2000 in his pocket. He began working in Jazz Hostels’ work exchange program where travelers can barter a portion of their accommodations in exchange for assisting staff at the hostels. Elmo now makes quite a good living doing other jobs on the side while getting barter supported accommodations at Jazz Hostels. Read the New York Times article for the full story on how one person participated in our work program and moved to New York City.
