Churchill’s Pub
This punk rock English Pub cum dive bar is an unlikely place to find the cool sounds of jazz. But unlikely or not, every Monday night is Jazz Night and Theatre de Underground at Churchill’s Pub.
Miami Jazz Jam as well as other great jazz musicians and bands take over Churchill’s stage and fill the bar with sounds that range from funky to smooth to improvizational.
Open mic night is held on the patio and is hosted by Theatre de Underground, an improve troupe that promise “an Improvisational Unpredictable Psychedelic Experience.” They are known to continue their show in the parking lot after Churchill’s has closed for the night, for some after hour fun.
