Windsurfing is a popular sport in Miami and throughout South Florida, and there are many great windsurfing spots for people of all levels. In Miami Beach, the area between 1st and 21st streets have some of the best points in the city. Other popular spots in the county can be found at Biscayne Bay, Virginia Key, and Crandon Park.

These high speed boats, also known as go-fast boats, got their name from smugglers running cigarettes in Canada. Cigarette boats are built for speed and can offer the ride of a lifetime. Several places in an around Miami offer racing, performance, rides, and even rentals.

Surfing is a popular sport throughout Florida, and Miami is no exception. While experienced surfers will mostly likely find better waves farther north, the relatively calm waters are good for beginners and there are plenty of surf shops that offer lessons.
Some of the better swells can be found at South Pointe Park and Lummus Park.
Jet Skiing
Miami’s year round sun make it the perfect place for jet skiing. Many beaches and area shops offer rentals and instruction. Those who are interested in something different may consider taking a jet ski tour of the ritzy Miami coastline.
Sailing
Miami and the surrounding area is filled with sailing and yacht clubs, and there numerous shops that offer sailing cruises and lessons. Check out Biscayne Bay if you are looking for a place to practice.
