Little Haiti, also known as La Petite Haiti, is a center of Haitian Creole culture, food and art in Miami. This neighborhood has a Caribbean feel to it with lots of brightly painted buildings.
If you like authentic food, Little Haiti is a good place to visit. There are plenty of casual restaurants serving up real Haitian food and drinks. There are some small shops that are interesting to wander around in too.
The third Friday of the month, Little Haiti has a free concert series called Big Night in Little Haiti. This event offers more than free music. There is Haitian food and drinks, art and children’s activities as well. Big Night in Little Haiti is held at the Little Haiti Cultural Center.
