It’s mango time! Come celebrate this sweet fruit at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s International Mango Festival.

The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is celebrating their 18th annual International Mango Festival this year. It runs July 9 -11 2010. This year’s feature will be mangos from India.
There are all kinds of events and tasting happening all weekend. There will be a free tastings, a wide variety of mango dishes, drinks and art for sale, mango workshops, and the world’s only mango auction.
There will also be culinary demonstrations, food and drink pairings and live music. For the kids, there will be face painting and mango art. This year’s festival promises to be a delicious and out of the ordinary festival!

A little bit about mangos: Almost half of all tropical fruit consumed worldwide are mangos, their fruit is high in nutrients such as fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants and it is the national fruit of several countries, including India.
