New York City’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) is a fascinating and educational place to spend some time. The Native Americans have a history rich in culture, arts, religion as well as struggle and persecution.

On display at NMAI are things like intricately beaded buckskin clothing, footwear, woven baskets, fabrics and blankets, pottery, sculptures, tee pees, and more. There are exhibits on how American Indians lived, their daily lives, how they processed animal hides

The National Museum of the American Indian is part of the Smithsonian Institute and has three locations in the Untied States. One in New York City and the other two in Washington, DC and Maryland.
