The Museum of Mathematics was created to help change the way people look at math. The world is made up of patterns and math is a huge part of our lives, even when we’re not thinking about something being related to math, it often is. MoMath seeks to show visitors that math can be dynamic, exciting and really interesting.
There are over 30 interactive exhibits at MoMath. Visitors can see how math relates to things like sports and music and other common interests. It is the only museum of its kind in the United States. It is a very new museum, only having opened its doors in December 2012.
Here’s a video showing some of the fun exhibits at MoMath. Even though there are only children in this clip, the Museum of Mathematics is for people of all ages.
