Montreal’s 18th-Century Marketplace is a must do this summer. It’s a festival filled with history, food, entertainment and culture.
The Marketplace really is like stepping back in time. It’s a celebration of the opening of Montreal’s first marketplace in 1750 and is very authentic.
There are people dressed up in clothing from that time period, artisans and crafts people creating goods from that time period, traditional food and drinks that would have been available then, entertainment and reenactments of scenes from the 1750s and much more!
Montreal’s 18th-Century Marketplace is put on by the Pointe-à-Callière Museum. It is held outside the museum on August 24, 2013 from 10:00 am. to 8:00 pm. and August 25, 2013 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Admission is free.
