Come down to Miami, Florida for the experience of a lifetime – swimming with dolphins! There are quite a few places in and around Miami that offer dolphin swim programs. Here are a few options with some of the different kinds of programs offered.
Miami Seaquarium
The Miami Seaquarium has a few different programs to choose from.
Dolphin Odyssey is a chance to play and swim with dolphins in deep water.
If shallow water is more suitable, Dolphin Encounter allows you to interact, including touch, dolphins in shallow water.
Trainer for a Day is the ultimate experience for those who want to experience what a trainer’s day is like. Participants get to work with the trainers and, not only learn basic dolphin training skills, but put them to the test with the dolphins.

Dolphin Plus
At Dolphin Plus, you can swim with dolphins and sea lions. Located only an hour south of Miami, it’s a great day trip.
Their structured dolphin swim program, participants are able to touch and play with dolphins in deep water.
The natural dolphin swim allows you to swim, with a mask, fins and snorkel, along with the dolphins during their down time in their home waters.
Dolphin Plus’ sea lion swim allows participants to touch and play with a sea lion.
For a full day experience, you can be a dolphin trainer for a day.
Theatre of the Sea
At Theatre of the Sea, you can swim with dolphins, sea lions and stingrays.
Their dolphin swim allows you to swim, snorkel, touch and play with the dolphins.
In the sea lion swim, participants interact with the sea lions through trained behavior like hugs and jumping through hoops.
You can swim, touch, feed and interact with stingrays in shallow water as well as snorkel in Theatre of the Sea’s stingray swim.

We have guests visiting and they would like to take their children to swim with the Dolphins. I live in Okeechobee and my son lives in Miami. Is there a place to go this week? I read that the Seaquarium was only availaable for the Dolphin encounter from 9-16-12-16-2011.
