“When you’re young you have time and energy but no money. When you get older you have money and energy but no time”
That quote is so true in so many levels. You can wait until you retire so you can go to travel, but when you finally have that enough money, you might be too old and it might be too late. So travel while you are still young.
Travel while you are still physically fit
While you still have the stamina to trek 3-5 hours to get to that beautiful waterfall, go for it and travel. Climb mountains, ride bikes, swim with dolphins.
Chances are you will not have the same stamina when you reach 60. It won’t be as much fun too.
Travel while you still have no responsibilities
If you’re still young without a family to take care of, your money just belong to you. Use it to your advantage and see the world even on a budget. It’s nice to not worry about where to get money for baby diapers while looking at marvellous landscapes.
The world is a classroom
Go get your global education by traveling and learn new cultures, new languages, new ways of living.
Find glow in your heart when you see the sparks in the eyes of the locals when you greet them in their language. Delight your taste buds in different exotic dishes. If you grow in the city, learn how it is to grow your own food in the rural countryside. If you’re a country girl, be mesmerized in the colorful world of city living.
Travel educates, yet humbles you
Go ahead and get out of that little bubble. The world is a beautiful place to see while we still have the strength to see it. And while it is nice to see places, it is also the right time to know other people’s wisdom and ways of living. You maybe surprised how tribe people find ways to cope up with a modern world. You will also learn the mystery on how people strive to be happy with what little they have.
So travel, see the world while you are young. You will be glad you did it when you stare at pictures of your younger years once you get older. Now how to fund your travels? That is another story.
