TKTS Discount Booths are a great way to buy deeply discounted tickets to some of Broadway’s best shows. There are three TKTS booths in the City and they all sell tickets from 20%-50% off the regular price.
There are no advanced sales at TKTS. They only sell tickets the day of the show and there are a limited amount of tickets available.
A few tips when buying tickets at a TKTS booth:
- Lines often form before the booths are even open so if you are there is get tickets for a popular show, be sure to get there early.
- Tickets for a show can sell out early in the day and then become available again not long before the show begins. It doesn’t hurt to check back if there is a show you really want to see.
- The lines for TKTS booths are outside so dress appropriately for the weather as you may be out there for a while.
- They have tickets for dozens of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows so pick out a handful you would like to see in case your other choices are sold out.
TKTS has locations in Times Square, South Street Seaport and Downtown Brooklyn. See their website for detailed information on what kinds of shows each booth offers.
Theatremania also sells discounted tickets to Broadway, Off Broadway and Off Off Broadway shows.
The discounts are not usually as good at those offered at TKTS but Theatremania offers advanced sales so you can plan ahead.
