Cafeteria
Cafeteria has a whole cocktail list of unusual drinks like: Pear & Thyme Kiss (beija cachaca, muddled red pear, thyme syrup, lemon) and Blackberry Cardamon Margarita (Sauza Blanco, blackberries, cardamom, salt foam).
They also have several ‘Mocktails’ like Aloe Vera Lemonade (aloe vera juice, lemonade, edible flowers) and Apricot Palmer (original Arnold Palmer, apricot puree served in a mason jar).
Back Forty
The Stout Float with Pear Rhum Syrup at Back Forty is made with O’Reilly’s Stout and rich vanilla ice cream. It’s listed under their dessert menu but really it’s an after dinner drink and dessert or a drink and a snack rolled into one!
Macondo
The entire cocktail menu at Macondo’s is strange and interesting. The Maracuya and Vodka is a mix of passion fruit, Sobieski vodka, Canton ginger liquor, lime juice and jalapenos.
For a frozen treat, try their Aguacate and Mezcal – a blend of honey, avocado, agave nectar, Agwa Bolivia, Combier, lime juice and scorpion mezcal.
Death and Company
Death and Company has an impressive cocktail menu of interesting drinks. Their Strange Brew is made with Tanqueray Ten Gin, Velvet Falernum, fresh pineapple, lemon Juice and Hop Devil IPA.
For a spicier drink, try the Smoked Horchata – a mix of house-made horchata, Herradura Reposado tequila, crema de mezcal, cinnamon bark syrup, dash of angostura bitters and cinnamon stick.
Do you know of any places in NYC that serve edible cocktails? (those that are made using liquid nitrogen)
